Seeing the Qualities of Light (Strangers)

Alexys: I do not know how to be a model. What should I do?

I: Do you like to smile? I can tell you a joke and make you laugh.

Alexys: hahaha.

Her name is Summer Prebe, and I stopped her to be my model, and she thought it was strange, so I captured the moment she was deciding if she wanted to be my model or not.

I: Wow, who paints your face?

Raj: I painted by myself, and it was form my ICS classes.

I: Where are you from?

Raj: I come from Fiji, but I am Indian, and I wanted to express my culture to my teacher through the paint and the dance.

He felt perplexed whether he should tell others he is Indian or Fijian. I like this picture since the highlight on his face put more contract.

He does not tell me his name, but he told me that his job was also related to media, and he loved his job.

Personal Involvement with Photography

I started to be interested in photography since my best friend stayed oversea ten years ago. We wanted to keep in touch, so we decided to take one photo everyday and send it to each other. The photo can be anything around us, and I tried to shoot the most beautiful thing everyday. Because it was a film camera, I thought more about the posts, angle and light before I pushed the button. Since it was a film camera, it made the photos more special and important.

I shoot this shot in a zoo on this Christmas break. I saw this silverback gorilla was standing on top on a fake mountain and looking at somewhere. His body is strong and powerful. He does not look like angry, but he seems like looking forward to get out of the zoo.
